The RF2THZ project aims at the establishment of silicon technology platforms for emerging RadioFrequency, mm-wave and THz consumer applications. The main target is to reduce cost while maintaining/enhancing the performance of existing solutions.

DOTSEVEN is a very ambitious 3.5 year R&D project targeting the development of silicon germanium (SiGe) heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) technologies with cut-off frequencies (fmax) up to 700 GHz. XMOD Technologies is a EDA/Third party company providing software and services to the microelectronics industry. We provide solutions for advanced compact device modelling, characterization and parameter extraction.

In the actual semiconductor environment, due to the increasing in both manufacturing and design cost in the most advanced technology nodes, a real knowledge gap leads to multiple expensive design iterations, which penalize both customers and suppliers in terms of product prices. This discrepancy is even more amplified in the actual semiconductor supply chain where the manufacturing and design activities are completely disconnected (eg, pure play foundries and fables design houses).
 
Through high added value services and software, XMOD Technologies has the ambition to enable analog and mixed signal designers to develop next generation, high performance ICs quickly and easily, with special focus on extreme temperature applications (77K to 300°C). XMOD software and services are used in the semiconductor industry including IDM (Integrated Device Manufacturers), IC foundries, and fabless design houses to solve their most challenging simulation and design issues.

XMOD models are highly accurate in the application range and free of convergence issue. Additionally XMOD models are fully scalable and permit to capture key process issues and optimize design quality by using optimized devices.
